![]() ![]() Here at Cibola High School we serve 2,400 enthusiastic students with over 180 dedicated staff members. Our school was established in 1988 and we're very proud of the success of our students in meeting their academic potential over the past 18 years. As a high school in one of the third fastest growing areas in the United States, we are experiencing lots of growth in our district.

Credit RequirementsA minimum of 22 units of credit are required for graduation. Listed below are the requirements that a student must complete before he/she may receive a Yuma Union High School District diploma:

![]() ![]() ![]() Lunch periods are determined by the student's fourth period class.
All classes at Cibola High School are 53 minutes long except for second period, which is 58 minutes long. The Pledge of Allegiance, moment of silence, and announcements are at the start of second period. Passing periods are six minutes long, and a warning bell indicates when students have one minute remaining until class begins. Lunches are thirty minutes long, and Channel One is thirteen minutes long.
**We have designated Mondays as late start days. We will use this time will to build learning communities along with staff input, training, as well as business and school mentor development. |

In order to earn a Yuma Union High School District diploma, regular education students are subject to graduation requirements that include credit requirements and competency test requirements that the State Board of Education adopted. Students must meet all graduation requirements before we will allow them to participate in commencement exercises. We will designate students with grade point averages of three point five (3.5) or higher shall with honors. We have outlined the graduation requirements for regular education students below:
